Didier Peytour - Daniel Duval-Fleury Stéphane Derenoncourt, vigneron conseil

Château La Bienfaisance is the result of the bringing together, around an extremely old estate of Saint-Christophe des Bardes in the Saint-Emilion appellation, of several plots of substantial repute located on the plateau of Saint-Emilion and the hillside extending eastwards.

In 1990, the arrival of the current owners, the Duval-Fleury and Corneau families, brought a new stimulus enabling major developments together with the acquisition of additional, top-quality plots within the appellation.

The vat-rooms and cellars of Château La Bienfaisance, located in 12th century buildings, were gradually refurbished and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities enabling the combination of the time-honoured traditions of Saint-Emilion with the very latest wine-making techniques.

Today, the diversity of the vineyard and the different soils and grape varieties planted within the same estate lend themselves to the crafting of complex blends which represent a major asset for the wine of Château La Bienfaisance and its Sanctus special reserve.

The Domaine de La Bienfaisance benefits from the commercial and promotional cooperation of Patrick Baseden, who is also a driving force of Montesquieu Vins & Domaines, in the Graves region.
