SANCTUS 2003 Essentially the luxury cuvée of Château La Bienfaisance, this garage offering emerges from a ten acre vineyard cropped at 25 hectoliters per hectare in 2003. A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, it was produced by ubiquitous wine guru, Stéphane Derenoncourt. A sleeper of the vintage, it possesses a black/purple color as well as notes of melted chocolate/fudge, blackberry fruit, and cappuccino. This opulent, powerful, full-bodied St-Emilion possesses tremendous intensity, loads of texture, and a heady, seamless finish. Anticipated marurity: 2006-2014.(90-92) Robert M.
